Where is Cass Lake

Cass Lake is a city in Cass County, Minnesota, located within the boundaries of the Leech Lake Indian Reservation and is surrounded by Pike Bay Township. The two Main Highways in Cass Lake are U.S. Highway 2 and Minnesota State Highway 371. Cass Lake had a population of 770 in the 2010 census.

Forest Headquarters

It is the headquarters location of the Chippewa National Forest as well as the Minnesota Chippewa Tribes and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. The City is located on the shore of its namesake, Cass Lake, which was named in honor of Michigan Governor Lewis Cass.
